This month, the Sleep Council have announced a brand new awareness campaign, “May be time for a new mattress”! The campaign aims to encourage people to test their mattress and to teach people what to look for so that they can know if their mattress is supporting them properly.
You might have heard of the “seven year hitch” — after seven years, you may want to think about replacing your mattress, even if it still looks okay. Generally speaking, if you’re waking up feeling sore and unrefreshed, or you’ve noticed the mattress has lumps or is sagging, it might be time for out with the old and in with the new. The Sleep Council’s “Bed MOT” is a great interactive tool to help you decide whether you need a new mattress. And if you do decide it’s time to make a change, you can narrow down the mattress you want using our handy filter!
The campaign will be running throughout the whole of May, so we’ll keep you updated about what the Sleep Council are up to!
